We have been stuck indoors far too long. And the moment the protocols were lifted, all hell broke loose across the US. Instead of flattening the curve, the numbers have escalated. I know, people need to get out because cabin fever is really setting in. This map by Dr. Randy Olson devised an optimal route to embark on an ultimate US road trip! A road trip is likely your safest travel option.
Check out this map!
Olsen initially created this map to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service in 2016. However, it is pretty much timeless.
Are you up for an epic road trip? For those of you who are, you can complete the entire route in approximately two months. From start to finish. The route covers 14,498 miles (only for land vehicles). Note that Olson started his trip at the Grand Canyon, but he designed the route as a loop, so you could begin anywhere on the map and travel in whichever direction you’d like. Pretty convenient and thoughtful!
