March Break is almost here and it’s a busy time of year for passengers traveling through Toronto Pearson. This year, Toronto Pearson expects to welcome 115,000 passengers on March 10 and nearly 120,000 passengers on March 11. This year’s expected passenger numbers represents 3-4 percent increase over March Break last year, a year in which Toronto Pearson welcomed a record 41 million passengers.
Together, Toronto Pearson and airport partners will have their full complement of staff on duty throughout the terminals in order to make the passengers’ experience as effortless as possible.
“Our passengers are our passion at Toronto Pearson and we’ve been working hard to get ready for these busier March Break days,” said Scott Collier, Vice President of Customer and Terminal Services. “With new stores, a pharmacy, activity kits for kids, valet parking, concierge, free baggage carts, free Wi-Fi, not to mention the array of fantastic new food options, we know our passengers will enjoy their time at the airport before they board their flight.”
General travel advice for families traveling this March Break:
Before Arrival at Toronto Pearson
Give yourself time to travel – two hours before a domestic flight and three hours if you are going international. Check with airlines for your flight status prior to departing for the airport or track it using the free Toronto Pearson App.
Be aware of any baggage restrictions. Ensure liquids and gels in carry-on luggage are in containers no larger than 100 milliliters, and be prepared to take out your laptop prior to screening. It will save time. For more details on what is permitted, visit CATSA.
This March, Toronto Pearson is offering covered parking at Terminal 3 for the same price as its Value Park Garage when you book online. Research parking options prior to airport arrival and of course leave plenty of extra time.
Activities at Toronto Pearson
Passengers traveling with kids: Toronto Pearson representatives will be handing out free Kids Kits on the busiest days of the season to help them stay busy before boarding flights. Each kit will include sweet treats, fun activities including the how to draw an airplane booklet and scavenger hunt, along with travel essentials perfect for any vacation on the beach or on the slopes.
